This is the earliest version of the Rickenbacker Silver Hawaiian. It sports the highly desirable and very powerful 1.5" large prewar style "Pat. Pend" stamped pickup in a hollow chrome plated steel body with the original "Rickenbacher" headstock logo. This version only has a single pot and black fret markers.

Besides the Bakelite B-6 "Panda" and Frying Pans, Rickenbacker's "Silver Hawaiian" Lap Steels with the prewar 1.5" Horseshoe Pickups are some of the most sought after steel guitars of the era! They were considered intermediate-to-professional instruments in their day. They have a markedly different tone than the other early models.

Overall length: 29 1/2 in (75 cm.)

Scale length: 22 1/2 in. (572 mm.)
Nut Width: 2 1/4 in. (57 mm.)

Everything appears original except for the 3D printed vintage correct volume knob. It's an amazing sounding and gig ready steel. Overall, this Silver Hawaiian is in nice shape with normal signs of use. There is some pitting and scratches to the mirrored chrome finish which has dulled to a degree over time. There is some light residue from some old note marker stickers along the treble side. It has one larger ding on the edge of the top on its bass side. It comes in a cool, hand-lined custom hard case with slots for steels.
