Prewar seven string Rickenbacker steel guitars are quite rare and very desirable. Some claim these early 40s celluloid plate era Rics are the best sounding! Overall, this B-7 seven string is in wonderful shape and sounds GREAT. It sports the highly desirable 1.5" large prewar style patented pickup and original “Rickenbacher” headstock logo.
The white celluloid plates of this era are sometimes prone to cracks and chipping. This example shows some minor shrinkage, one screw hole chip, and a very minor control plate crack, but still displays well.
The pots are Stackpoll 250s and work really well with just a hint of crackle on the lowest side of the volume pot. The tuners have newer buttons and function well. It's an amazing sounding and gig ready steel. Original wide seven string case included!
Very Good Plus (VG+)
