This lovely example is a very early 1950s model with a unique set of specific features seldom found. It sports the late era Rickenbacker Blade-shaped logo on its cover. Around this time, Rickenbacker changed spellings from the original Rickenbacher, and this would have been an earlier example to reflect that change. The company had also returned to better-sustaining string through construction.
Overall, this example is in lovely shape, with just a few light marks here and there. It sounds and looks fantastic! It sports a set of high quality original Kluson tuners. The 1 1/4 Horseshoe pickup is strong and sounds wonderful. Some gems have been used to replace the fret dots. Two are included but not attached an one is missing.
Like many of these old B-6 steels the pots and jack have been replaced. This time we know this work was done at the factory. A 1988 repair receipt from Rickenbacker and the original Clarostat Mfg. Co. pots which point to an assembly date in late 1951 are included.
