1922 Martin 3M Ukulele Style 3 Mahogany Uke
1922 Martin 3M Ukulele Style 3 Mahogany Uke
This sweet mahogany 1922 or 1923 Martin 3M ukulele is all original, and is a very nice example that sounds and looks great. It sports some of the earliest style 3 model features, including a three-ply white-black-white laminated nut and rare Grover spring-loaded tuners. It's set up perfectly and very fun to play both rhythm and fingerstyle. It plays in tune well and projects strongly. It's a really great sounding ukulele!
Overall length: 20 5/8 in. (52.4 cm.)
Width: 6 1/4 in. (15.9 cm.)
Depth: 2 1/4 in. (5.7 cm.)
Scale length: 13 1/2 in. (343 mm.)
Nut Width: 1 3/8 in. (35 mm.).
It has some minor age-appropriate wear here and there but is overall very well preserved. One tuner is slightly different from the rest but it's close enough that it isn't noticeable. There is some minor binding shrinkage at the waste on the treble side. What we assume is the original case is included.
